About this workshop
The CoLab Partnership brings together parents, young people and professionals to transform care for children with medical complexity (CMC). This session focuses on the education needs of families caring for CMC.
We open with a concise presentation outlining who CMC are, UK prevalence, and why family education changes outcomes, followed by a parent's lived‑experience perspective to highlight pinch points and what good looks like.
The second half features small‑group problem solving with plenary share back, surfacing practical ways to improve parental education. We close with a toolkit walkthrough and commitment to change, leaving participants with clear next steps and resources.
