About this workshop

This workshop will guide participants in integrating anti‑racism into undergraduate and postgraduate paediatric education, drawing on evidence and recommendations from the forthcoming textbook, Antiracist Medicine

We will examine how systemic factors such as the demographic mismatch between students and assessors, hidden curricula, biased assessments, and underrepresentation in teaching materials not only reflect but also perpetuate inequity. We will also explore strategies for embedding cultural humility and equity‑focused medicine into training.

Attendees will leave with practical tools for curriculum reform, diversifying the assessor pool, faculty development and learner support, ensuring the next generation of paediatricians is prepared to deliver equitable care.
