Leonora Merry, Director of Communications and External Affairs

Leonora Merry is Director of Communications and External Affairs at the Nuffield Trust, a leading health policy think tank. There she is a member of the Senior Leadership Team and oversees a team of communications professionals with responsibility for developing and promoting the organisation’s research and policy work, through events, media work, responsive policy work, digital and publications. She leads the team responsible for analysing and publishing the Nuffield Trust's annual publication of the NHS and social care module of NatCen's British Social Attitudes Survey.

Leonora has over 20 years' experience working across policy, research, communications and campaigns and represents the Nuffield Trust among senior decision makers, politicians and in the media. She started her career in the charity sector in Scotland and prior to the Nuffield Trust led Media and External Affairs at the Social Market Foundation think tank
